What paying does not do
This is the whole boundary the product stands on, so it is worth stating rather than implying.
It never buys support
Not an upvote, not a pact, not a nudge in anyone's direction. Every limit is on how many founders you can reach — never on whether their support counts.
It never buys trust
Your score is computed from kept and missed commitments and nothing else. Paying cannot raise it, and not paying cannot lower it.
Verification is identical either way
A free launch is checked against Product Hunt exactly as a paid one is. There is no faster path and no weaker one.
A refund does not revoke a launch
Pacts formed under activation are commitments other founders are relying on. We mark the payment refunded and handle the rest as a human decision.
Billing and tax
Payments are handled by Dodo Payments as merchant of record, so VAT and GST are registered and remitted by them rather than added as a surprise at checkout. Sponsored placements are billed separately — see Advertise.
Money never touches a vote
Activation raises matching capacity and gives your launch an indexed page and a report. Support on LaunchClan is always a founder choosing to back another founder, and every commitment is verified against Product Hunt either way. Nothing here buys an upvote, a pact, or a trust score.
