1. What LaunchClan is
LaunchClan is a reciprocity network for founders launching on Product Hunt. Members list launches, back other launches they genuinely support, and mutual backing forms a pact — an obligation, on each side, to support the other’s launch by its date. Support is verified against Product Hunt’s own record of who voted, or by a screenshot reviewed by a human when a Product Hunt connection isn’t available.
2. Money never buys support
Nothing on LaunchClan can be purchased that changes whether a pact forms, whether it is verified, or how a trust score is computed. Activation ($29, one-off per launch) raises how many founders you can be matched with, unlocks circles, and adds an indexed launch page and a launch-day report — it never buys a vote, a pact, or trust. Sponsored placements buy position in the feed for a labelled window and nothing else. Product Hunt prohibits incentivised voting, and no feature here is built to work around that.
3. Accounts
You need an account to list a launch, pledge support, or join a circle. You are responsible for what happens under your account, and for keeping your sign-in access secure. Accounts found to be farming trust — coordinated fake support, sockpuppet accounts, or deliberate manipulation of the verification path — may be suspended or removed.
4. Pacts, circles, and trust
A pact is a real commitment, not a suggestion. Leaving a pact before your obligation’s window has opened waives it for both sides at no cost; leaving after it has opened counts as a missed commitment. Trust scores are computed automatically from kept and missed commitments and cannot be edited directly by any member, including the person the score belongs to. If the other side of a pact never added a Product Hunt link, your obligation is waived, not counted against you — that is a fixed rule, not a case-by-case judgement call.
5. Payments and refunds
Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, acting as merchant of record, which is why your receipt and any applicable VAT/GST come from them rather than from LaunchClan directly. A refund reverses the charge but does not revoke a launch’s activation or unwind pacts already formed under it — other founders are relying on those commitments, and reversing them is handled as an individual decision, not an automated one.
6. Acceptable use
Use LaunchClan to genuinely support and be supported on Product Hunt launches. Don’t use it to buy or sell votes, to circumvent Product Hunt’s policies, to submit a fabricated screenshot, or to build tooling that automates pledges, verification, or trust in a way a human founder wouldn’t actually do.
7. Termination
You can stop using LaunchClan at any time; contact hello@launchclan.com to close an account. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, particularly around verification integrity.
8. Disclaimer
LaunchClan facilitates commitments between founders; it does not guarantee that a launch will succeed, that a pact partner will follow through — a trust score reflects a track record, not a promise — or that Product Hunt’s own systems will behave in any particular way. The service is provided as-is.

These terms may change as the product does. Meaningful changes will update the date at the top of this page.
